For the Love of the Ocean

"The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever" - Jacques Cousteau Ever since I can remember, I've been in love with the ocean.  I remember as a child watching Jacques Cousteau and wanting to do what he did, even though it scared me to pieces!  I can't even imagine the hours which equate to days, weeks, months or possibly even YEARS that I've spent in the ocean!  Since I grew up in Hawaii, I loved being in the salty water, snorkeling  or body surfing in the waves.  I've collected shells and sand, driftwood and beach glass, all of which our dear ocean gives up as original works of art.  I've seen magical creatures under water, some of which are a bit scary, but I wouldn't have it any other way!

Recently I returned from a trip to the Bahamas, a trip I usually take every year for many special reasons, but the main one is to swim with wild dolphins.  There is really something magical about these creatures - and let me tell you - they are really hard to photograph!
