A Denver Botanic Garden Wedding – Denver Wedding PhotographerApril 18, 2013

I don’t know about you, but when I go shopping for a card, I have to read ALL the cards to make sure the one I pick transmits the exact feeling that I am feeling for the receiver of the card. I go thru all the cards and if I don’t find one that is PERFECT, I keep searching even if it means leaving the store empty handed. I’m feeling the same thing about my blog posts lately. I can tell you about how amazing each wedding day was, how much fun we had, how the day was magical. But, in all honesty, every wedding has a bit of fairy dust sprinkled on it. What I would like to convey more in my writings is how IMPORTANT and AMAZING love is…..The Feeling of IT – What it communicates to you and me and the world around us. Love is INSPIRING. So, I’ll probably be quoting more love poems and quotes than actually writing about what happened at the wedding (and how awesome my clients are – everyone knows THAT already!!)

Wedding Tip #1 – Knowing What Time the Sun Goes Down on Your Wedding Day – Denver Wedding PhotographerSeptember 15, 2012

I thought it would be a good idea to offer some helpful wedding photography tips to planning brides and grooms. So, here we go!

I’m a huge fan of variety – in lighting and locations! The more variety in both, the better! So, when helping a bride plan her timeline for the day, I research what time sunset will be and let her know. I suggest taking the bride and groom out of the reception to do some fun and relaxed portraits during sunset or the magic hour – which is right after sunset but before it gets completely dark.

A Downtown Denver Engagement Session – Byron White United States Courthouse, Denver, ColoradoSeptember 11, 2012

Meet Tiffany and Kevin. We had a super fun engagement session all over Lodo. We started at the Byron White Courthouse on Stout Street – had a quick cocktail at Harry’s Bar in the Magnolia Hotel and then headed to Larimer Square and ended up at the Corner Office Famous yellow wall. You know you are having fun when at the end of the session, your couple does the Worm! Yeah!

Pamela’s father made the wedding arch and since Steve is a doctor, the Groom’s cake was rather funny – anyone remember the board game “Operation”? Cute and Clever….Wedding Ideas – Colorado Springs, ColoradoJuly 25, 2012

I recently photographed a wonderful wedding at the Cheyenne Mountain Country Club – it’s such a lovely venue for weddings!

When selecting ties for the guys, my client Sarah had this wonderful idea of having each groomsmen (along with her Groom) wear a different tie – the only requirement is that it had to be blue! What a cute and clever way to mix it up!

A Denver Four Seasons Wedding – LoDo, Denver, ColoradoJuly 11, 2012

Meet Jill and Dave – they had a wonderful wedding at the Four Seasons in LoDo! Jill and Dave share the love for traveling far and wide, so each guest was given a copy of the book “Oh, the Places You’ll Go” by Dr. Suess. Each book was placed on the seat of every chair and each table was named after a city or country that they had been to together or were going to visit on their honeymoon. Dave made a hilarious comment during his welcome toast claiming the reason for the two of them departing from the church in a cab was actually how they met (he exiting a cab, she getting in the cab) and not that they forgot to arrange transportation to the wedding reception!
