Traveling to Costa Rica – A Yoga Adventure04.20.12

 

I was incredibly lucky to spend a month in Costa Rica back in January to become a certified yoga teacher!  My trip was amazing in so many different ways, I don’t know where to begin.  The scenery was raw and beautiful, my yoga experience was transformational and I met some really great people along the way!

There were so many photo “experiences” that I just can’t digest them all into one or two blog posts (my head would explode, haha).  So, I will be putting together a series of posts.  It only seems fair to start with something really dramatic, like a black sand beach located in Puerto Viejo – Playa Negra.  My friend Alicia was kind enough to do some yoga poses for me (and cover herself with black sand!)….

Meet Abbie and Ryan – the first thing that I noticed about these two is that Ryan adores Abbie like there’s no tomorrow!  She’s the cat’s pajamas in his eyes!

It’s just not wedding photography – it’s documenting the people that you LOVE!

We received a great email from the Mother of the Bride from a wedding we did back in May.  It reads “Paige, you took many wonderful pictures during Lindsey and Mike’s wedding, but you especially captured a great picture of my mother prior to the ceremony.  My mother was a real trooper by traveling hundreds of miles to attend her granddaughter’s wedding.  She is a special dear to Lindsey and our family.  We are looking forward to helping her celebrate her 100th birthday and we used the picture for the invitations to her birthday party, newspaper announcements and have even sent the photo to the Today show so Willard Scott will hopefully annouce her birthday during the show.  We have received so many great compliments on the picture.  This is such a great milestone to celebrate with her – and thank you for capturing her for the occasion.”

Yoga Stories Coming Soon!10.28.11

Meet my good friend, Kelly!   She’s amazingly talented and she will be  co-authoring/contributing to a new website in the works called Yoga Stories.

The idea of Yoga Stories came to me one day after reflecting how deeply and profoundly that yoga has affected my life.  I knew there had to be many other stories of how one found yoga and the idea was born to photograph and document people’s lives and share their “yoga story” and provide inspiration to others to do yoga!  Sounds fun, doesn’t it?
